I didn’t get to see the Flatiron Building until the very last day of my stay in New York City. I got there sometime in the afternoon only to realize that the sun was in the worst possible position. Without much time left before having to leave, I thought maybe this would be a good time to try HDR - something I’ve been avoiding for a while.
And so, here’s my first attempt at HDR photography. I originally used 3 exposures, but didn’t like how the most underexposed image gave the sky a dark overcast. So I scrapped that, and used two exposures instead. Took a long time tweaking the image, but I think it’s as close to what I want it as possible.
My first diptych ever!
I was fooling around with the camera that night and thought it’d be fun to try some nighttime pans. Obviously my panning could use some work, but I sort of like the effect anyway.
Just got back from New York! I went there a few years ago but was definitely too young to appreciate all the good food, shopping and buildings. Took a bunch of photos and will be posting them over the next few days as I slowly get to editing.
Anyway, anyone who’s visiting or lives in New York has to try the food at Shake Shack! Their burgers, fries and shakes are so good. Just be careful as there’s usually a line throughout the day.
